For Green Medicine, I used my ‘Peace Medicine’ practice to calm my nervous system before making artwork. I used my body as an implement to explore rectangles and squares by meandering over the space with no plan, using paint and thread as my tools. The outcome was lines and paths, which forged new ways of being across linen. Through careful arrangement, I created a feeling of peace in the gallery to hold meditations, listening circles, sewing groups, and Altars. For Green Medicine, I created a living exhibition, an experience of presence and beauty, where space was held in reverence.
